Watermark : The statue of Tutankhamoun.
A fine metal thread permeates through the right hand side of the note.
Size : 14.5 cm. X 7 cm.
Face : The main feature is the Ibn Touloun Mosque in gray, with its minaret being surrounded by geometric designs in light and dark blue. The background is in radiant blue and yellow, starting with a rosette in the same colors on the right hand side and ending with a rosette in blue and green surrounding the watermark. The frame is in bluish gray and includes multi-colored designs at the top and a blue and olive green ribbon at the bottom, interlocked by fine white threads. At the top on the right hand side, and at its bottom on the left hand side, the value is written in white in Arabic figures within a dark olive green geometric pattern decorated with white threads. The name of the Central Bank of Egypt and the value of the note in Arabic letters are inscribed on the right hand side.
Back : The main feature is a pharaonic picture in violet, symbolizing the River Nile bestowing its blessing on the Valley. To the right and to the left of the picture at the bottom, is a blue horizontal frame inside of which are pharaonic drawings. To the right of the picture is a broad vertical ribbon of pharaonic design, with multi-colored horizontal and vertical lines framed by white lines. To the right of the ribbon and behind the watermark is the pharaonic sun. At the top right hand side is the value in numbers in white inside a rectangle in dark olive green containing fine designs of white thread. To the left hand side, the name of the Central Bank of Egypt is inscribed in English, over heading the value of the note in English letters within a pharaonic design in multi-colored radiant circles, with the value of the note in figures. The background of the back side is in pale violet interlocked with blue and green colors.
